La Verdadera Destreza is a system of swordsmanship intended to be a universal method of fighting, applicable to all weapons in principle. In practice it is dedicated mainly to the rapier or the rapier combined with a defensive weapon such as a parrying dagger, a cloak or a buckler. The tradition centers on the works of two primary authors, Jerónimo Sánchez de Carranza (d. c. 1608) and the Maestro Mayor Luis Pacheco de Narváez (1570–1640).
The 2- day intensive hands- on workshop with Maestro Alberto Bomprezzi focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of the Spanish rapier taken from the works of Pacheco de Narváez, Francisco de Ettenhard y Abarca, Perez de Mendoza and Alvaro Guerra de la Vega.

1) Lecture on philosophy and theory of Destreza
Geometrical theory, definition of space, measurements
2) Art
a) Movement (footwork, thrusts and cuts)
b) Control of the central line (extension of the arm and the right angle, atajo - bind and actions on the blade, movimiento de conclusion, disarm)
3) Destreza tournament
